Phoenixville has quietly reinvented itself from steel town to one of the most walkable little boroughs in Chester County, and a slow walk along its canal path, past old mill buildings now housing breweries and coffee shops, makes the transformation plain. It is fast becoming one of the best up-and-coming small towns near Philadelphia.
